My Favorite Things: Work Edition

Who doesn’t love a good resource especially when it can save you time, money, or add more joy to your life?

There are SO many tools out there that it can feel overwhelming, so I’ve rounded up a handful of my favorite, business-related things that have helped me feel more inspired, connected, or to simply go further faster in my business.

I hope this list either teaches you something new, alleviates a pain-point, or simply helps you get to know me better! So without further ado, here are my favorite things:  work edition.

Zoom

Six weeks ago if I mentioned Zoom you might be like, “What the heck is Zoom?!” But due to COVID, you’ve likely used it directly or heard of someone who has. Zoom is a great video conferencing tool where you can have multiple people on a call, share your screen, interact through polls, etc. I LOVE using it to connect with friends and family for game nights, happy hours, or simple touch-points throughout the week. I’ve also been coaching and collaborating with other female entrepreneurs who want to better their website, create solid media content, or simply bounce ideas off each other during this unprecedented time.

The Goal Digger Podcast

This is a great podcast if you want to learn more about business, budgeting, social media, or be inspired by entrepreneurial women.  I discovered Goal Digger over a year ago and have learned a ton from Jenna and her podcast guests, specifically in areas like improving my social media, the importance of protecting your time, growing an email list, and simply juggling work/family/motherhood and marriage.

Adobe Spark

Yes, I’m a multimedia producer and designer so I could create all of my media content from scratch, I’ve been taking advantage of using tools like Adobe Spark to whip up quick graphics for social media and freebie content. Why? It’s a huge time-saver and I can still create content that is branded, unique, and beautiful.

Plan That app

Plann is an Instagram scheduling and analytics tool. I use the basic version to plan out my IG content so that my feed tells a story and is visually consistent. I have a handful of hashtag collections which also saves me time when posting.
